The third annual Agents Against Cancer raised more than $310,000 for the American Cancer Society in September 2026. That is the biggest year in the event’s history. It came from two events: a Golf Invitational at Hidden Creek in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey (September 17 to 19) and a Gala at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (September 23).
Kim and I have served on the Agents Against Cancer committee all three years. We are proud of that, and we are proud of this group. In three years, AAC has raised more than $600,000 toward its $1 million goal to fight cancer.
Agents Against Cancer brings together top real estate agents from across the country, along with lenders, title partners, attorneys, and industry friends. Jennifer Anderson founded it. The idea is simple: the people who help families buy and sell homes can do a lot of good when they pull in the same direction.
Three years, three cities
| Year | Location | Raised for ACS |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 | Hidden Creek, NJ (golf) and MCA Chicago (gala) | More than $310,000 |
| 2025 | The Nelson Golf and Sports Club, Dallas-Fort Worth | $250,000 (record at the time) |
| 2024 | San Diego, CA (Golf Classic and Symposium) | More than $170,000 |
In 2025, Kim and I hosted AAC here at home at The Nelson Golf and Sports Club. Agents flew in from all over the country for golf, pickleball, mahjong, wine tastings, and a dinner and auction. It set a record. This year the event moved east, and the group beat that record again.
The Gala at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago
On September 23, a sold-out crowd of agents and partners filled the museum for cocktails, dinner, a live auction, and a bid paddle raise. Single tickets sold out ahead of the event. Guest speakers and this year’s event honoree took the stage, and the night closed with a celebration in the galleries.
The week started early. The kickoff party was karaoke at The Vig in the West Loop on September 22, with every ticket dollar going to the American Cancer Society. Chicago hosts Alice Chin and Cindi Sodolski did a great job showing off their city.
Congratulations to every golf, auction, and paddle raise winner. The Gala photos in this post are from Sideline Marketing.
The Golf Invitational at Hidden Creek, New Jersey
The Golf Invitational ran September 17 to 19 at Hidden Creek, a private Dormie Network club in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Coore and Crenshaw designed the course, and Golf Digest ranked it the #18 course in New Jersey in 2025.
The format was new this year. Golfers split into six teams and played a Ryder Cup-style competition for the first AAC Cup: nine holes of scramble, nine of alternate shot, and nine of best ball, followed by a horserace between the top pair from each team. A welcome round, a live auction dinner, and optional Saturday golf rounded out the weekend.
Modern Day Lending presented the Golf Invitational. The golf photos are from Kliggs Photos.
Why This Matters for Dallas-Fort Worth
The agents in this room are some of the best in their markets, from New Jersey and Chicago to California. Many of them have clients moving to Dallas-Fort Worth. When that happens, they want to hand those clients to someone they know and trust.
That is a big part of why Kim and I show up. We have worked side by side with these agents for three years. They have seen how we run a committee, host an event, and follow through. That carries over to how we take care of the clients they refer to us.
If you are an agent with a client relocating to Dallas-Fort Worth, we would be glad to help. The Assaad Group works with buyers and sellers from $1.5 million to $15 million across Southlake, Westlake, Colleyville, Grapevine, Flower Mound, and Las Colinas. We know these communities street by street, and we keep you in the loop from first showing to closing.
If you are moving to Dallas-Fort Worth yourself, start with our community guides for Southlake, Westlake, and Colleyville. Then give us a call. We can walk you through the areas, the commute, and what to expect before you ever get on a plane.
